Description
|
Large Sèvres soft-paste cup and saucer (Gobelet calabre et soucoupe), painted with a stunning pale green pointillé ground or fond Taillandier. The central cartouches filled with large trophies or attributes: The cup painted with a large blue bagpipe, straw hat with cocade; ribbons and garlands of flowers, a gnarled stick and a type of gaming tool.
The saucer painted with a spinning yarn stick and a winged stock with a flame issuing from the tip with garlands of pink roses and blue convolvulus.
