Description
|
A very fine and extremely rare pair of early Worcester wall-pockets (right and left models), painted in the 'indianische Blumen' style of Meissen, five different models are recorded, inspired by Staffordshire salt-glazed originals. The purpose of these wall-pockets is uncertain, but they were probably for either dried flowers or tole peint applied with porcelain flowers.
