Description
|
An early Meissen teapot and domed cover, painted in the imari style in underglaze-blue enamels and gilding with the ‘Tischchen’ pattern of flowering plants issuing from a table, the rim of the cover with bands of flower heads, the curved spout emerging from a smiling bearded mask terminal enriched in coloured enamels. Crossed swords mark. 13.5cm High 17cm Wide The stripes of light are from the camera, the porcelain is in fine condition.
