Description
|
A rare and early Meissen Hausmaler ‘Bottger period’ tea bowl painted with high-quality and colourful enamel harbour scenes, the interior with a circular scene of a ship and a castle in sepia. The shaped cartouches are edged with gilt and purple foliate scrollwork. The scrollwork borders are flanked by beautiful sprigs of “indianische Blumen".
