Description

An early Meissen plate painted with underglaze blue with the ‘Onion pattern - Zwiebelmuster’.
Crossed swords mark in underglaze blue. Painter’s mark of three dots in the foot-rim.
This pattern became one of Meissen’s most famous patterns.

Slice chip to the underside of the rim restored and associated small crack.
