Description
|
A very fine Meissen figure group of child flautist musicians, a boy, and a girl, modelled by J. J. Kändler.
The title of the piece of music is "sonata dinquième adagio." The group was created to be viewed in the round, perhaps as a dining table decoration. It is superbly modelled and raised on four scroll legs and a rococo base.
Crossed swords on the underside of the base.
