Early Meissen teapot and cover painted with a very detailed continuous harbour scene with merchants, ships and distant landscapes.
A bearded masked head at the base of the spout and intricate gilded ‘scroll work’ on the shoulders of the teapot with a kakiemon inspired painted handle
Early crossed swords mark and Gilder’s mark 28 to cover and pot
Drehers mark of an incised x in the foot rim.
