Description
|
A rare Chelsea scent bottle and stopper, decorated in bright coloured enamels, modelled in the form of a young woman and two boys climbing a tree to gather plums, a dog at their feet. Placed on a moulded mound base, the bottle is encrusted with flowers. The underside is painted in gilt with a flower and a turquoise ‘dog’s tooth’ border. Gilt-metal mounts and chains; the finial is composed of a bunch of fruit.
